That’s correct, but when I got mine the arm was missing. There was also a ‘transcription’ version the 4TR200 which was sold as a chassis without arm like the Garrard 301.
Very nice! Love the Palmer!
He also had the Transcription tape deck, I sadly let it go when mum died, it’s still working. The electronics for both were surplus PO telephones parts from the days when the routinely swapped out valves for reliability.
Magnificent
Yes I have a new one on the way.
Now you mention it, it is low output moving iron. I just know it would not work into my old mm phono stage so obtained the Quad 24P.
I was going through old photo boxes yesterday and I stumbled on those ancient (1980 or so) pictures of my Rega Planar 2 and the system I had at the time - A&R Cambridge A60 and T21, Nakamichi 480. Not showing are Harbeth HL Monitor MkIII’s. The cartridge is a Nagaoka MP 50.
I loved the look of the Planar 2 with its natural wood trim but I eventually upgraded to a Planar 3 / RB300 TT.

Nice to see a couple of Techy 1200’s making the grade. I was starting to get lonely.
Well that was very close! I auditioned Spendor BC 3s, Mission 770, and Rodgers BBC-based speakers before going for the Harbeths. Great choice because I ended up working for the store that held the line a couple years later.

My recent build.Lenco l75 in 3 layer plinth, fitted with Audiomods Classic 2 tonearm.
Hello,
after some years of abstinence back here in the new Naim forum - especially for this thread.
Maybe some of you remember my 172/200 and Kudos Super 10 from the past…
Run two turntables that could not be more different:
- Bauer DPS3 iT with a van den Hul Colibri XGP
- Micro Seiki DDX 1500 with Fidelity Research 64s copper + FR XF-1 L + Ortofon Classic GME MKII
Both on wall-mount von stoic/inakustik. Phono-Pre is the Phonolab 1.0 from AudioSpecials.
Half of the time listening with the two headphones (Stax SR-009 / AudioTechnica ADX5000) on the SOLARIS from AudioValve.
The other half is played with the Devialet 400 and TAD CE-1.

Nice looking Lenco. The plinth has something of a Manticore Mantra vibe about it.
Is that a PTP or a home brew?
Thanks, and i see the resemblance !
Spot on ! well sort of, it still has the pan of the top plate in one piece but cut flat.
I made a speed control adjustment similar to the PTP design and the plinth itself is much the same.
Just purchased and set up - new Planar 6, with an Ortofon Black 2M, running through the SN3 phono stage.
I do like the Audiomods arms. Really nicely finished and it’s good to see someone setting up (and I guess) making a success of an interest.
Nice bloke to deal with too.
