Signal ground with 2 Naim sources to a Nait

I understand that Naits require the signal ground from just one source. Naim streamers have a floating option, while Naim CDPs do not. So if one has both these two sources, the CDP would be the default source for signal ground.

What if the streamer is being used and the CDP is turned OFF? Will there still be a signal ground going to the Nait? Is the mere fact that the DIN cable is connected between the Nait and the CDP sufficient? Or does the CDP have to be switched ON as well?

The CD player will still make the ground connection when not being used, as long as it’s connected to the amp and mains power socket so you don’t have to change the streamer ground switch every time. Just set the switch to ‘float’ and you’re done.
