Sites for looking up best versions of jazz recordings?

The best writing I’ve ever seen is on jazz is by Thom Jurek.

His reviews from AllMusic are often included in the Naim app.

I’d love to see Naim include even more Thom Jurek summaries and reviews in the Naim app as it’s hard to access on the All Music site.

This is probably the best post I have ever read - from Steve Hoffman site’s ‘Jazz and Conversation’ thread…

For these multiple sets live , i find I like to hear the entire series of sets of a given jazz date as if I was there. Its a lights down low , beer by my side and it is almost like being there if one has any imagination abilities at all. Sometimes i will play the Friday sets Friday and then the Saturday sets on Saturday and see how the band evolves. As much as this sounds like a juvenile thing to do , it works for me. I even get excited Saturday morning thinking back on the Friday night set and how Ill be hearing them again in a few hours.
My wife thinks I need hospitalization
