Small bookshelf speakers with nait 50 / UQ2

Yes I love mine :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

But I find that they sound best between 9 and 10 o’clock.
That’s what I’ve noticed from listening to various N50s and different speakers.

I’d be deafened at 10! And that’s with my Qutest set to its lowest output level and pretty inefficient speakers.

Ditto. I have the N50 set at around 08.30 and still reduce volume on my streamer.

It will depend on several factors, including the source, the room, etc.

From what I was able to hear (and this is just my personal impression—I realize not everyone will agree, and I fully understand that. So this remains purely subjective), I found that the N50 performed to its full potential in this setup.

I was able to listen to it with my old source (Aurender + Arcam / Rega RP6) and also with a CDS3, an NDX2, and an ND555.

Best regards

I have the N50 with ATC scm 7 v3 on a large wooden desk in my small living room. Switching from the Super Dentons I have noticed the lower bass output, but still I like the ATC’s better. They are about 40 cm from the back and isolated from the desk. The bass notes precise, fast and is well balanced. On the last point the Dentons could sometimes be too much and I used a PEQ to tune some peaks down

I’m using a ADI-2 dac and have tuned the output signal down. The N50 is operating at 9-10 o’clock on normal listening levels. To me, it seems as the ATC’s are happier with this setting vs the same volume but a lower knob setting. Don’t know why, but worth trying if you have ATC’s?

Have the Oephi Lounge 2 at home, on loan.

These are def standmounts and not bookshelf speakers, but I had mentioned previously hence the follow up.

First thoughts are very good especially at low levels, I need to do some positioning and the spikes are not yet on the stands, but this could just the one.

I have until Wednesday.
