Just a quickie.
When using a AV receiver with the front channel outputs going to a SN3 in AV mode what device is actually doing the amplification of those front channels as the AVR controls the volume of all speakers regardless of the SN3 volume setting.
The SN3 is still the amp for the front channels, but with its volume control bypassed.
AVR is the preamp for all channels, and the power amp for the centre and rear channels. The sn is the power amp for the left and right channels.
