Just a quick thought re the channels and probably not the issue. Are you sure you didn’t have the Mon (Mono) button switched on? Easily done.
Glad it is all OK now and hopefully you can enjoy the music from your great new pre-amp!

I have done this. Took me a week to realise it as I had just rebuilt and serviced my speakers and thought they were just running in

It was not in mono mode I checked, and there was a stereo image, just not as well defined. I wonder what had caused this.
Most important thing is that it looks like all is well now. Enjoy!
