SN3 Right Channel Out

I have seen a couple of posts on this subject already but nothing definitive except maybe have to send it back for service:

The right channel on my SN3 just went out after being turned off while I was away for several days. I bought this unit new slightly over a year ago.

I have tried all remedies:
Complete shut down.
Reseated all interconnects.
Swapped speakers
It happens across multiple sources.
I had a Hicap DR powering it but removed that ps and reinstalled the link plugs.

No change at all.

I just contacted the service dept at my dealer. Waiting on reply. Just thought I would ask the experts here too.

@Hollow. Any sugestions?

Thanks.

Broken output relay?
Regardless, it needs to be rma’d.

Thanks. @robert_h That is the likely culprit after reading more here.

Rma,d = Return manufacturer authorization? Or repair authorization?

Did you try mute on/off several times?

Yes. I saw that in another thread. No change. Thanks though.

sounds like a relay has gone down… naim will sort it

yep I’d reckon it’s the relay, Naim are obviously still using these duff components unfortunately knowing they’re prone to failure. Anyway it’ll get sorted under warranty.

If it is a known issue (seems to happen fairly frequently) should be sorted by Naim regardless of whether in warranty…
