Parfait means excellent in French. Michelet said to pardon their English, and Michelet sounds like a French name, hence why I replied in French.

Non, Non, Non! There’s a huge difference. You notice all those parfaits are layered… For a sundae, all you need to do is pour some chocolate sauce over a scoop of vanilla. :grinning:

If it has ice cream and a spoon who cares? A whole faction of my family is French and Belgian. Despite the fact I do speak other languages, one of them is not French so to them, I’m just another typical Brit who can only speak English. Though my wife is amazed that suddenly when food is involved and faced with a menu in French I have no problem at all understanding it perfectly until the second the order is placed.
