I’ve gone and bought a Nova PE. Having owned Qute and SuperUniti in the past, and an Atom, as well as briefly, a Nova, I’m very impressed with this PE.
Very (clean) sounding, with great detail and even a soundstage. I still have the Atom as well as a Nait50, and will be swapping speakers around, Stirlings and Larcs.
So far, very impressed and glad I took the plunge. Well done Naim.
Thanks, I didn’t get on with the Nova, and the Atom won, just as the Qute won over the SuperUniti when I had both of those. The PE does seem in a different league from what I remember of the Nova.
I bought it lightly used and saved a fortune.
I would be very interested in hearing how it sounds compared to your Atom, at similar volumes. I am a past Nova owner and traded it in for a Hegel 390 because I really did need more power for my Harbeth SHL5+hd speakers in a larger room. The Nova PE had not been released at that time.
While I enjoy the Hegel paired with n Auralic Aries G2.2, I miss the Naim operating system. We still use it for a bedroom Qb.
Anyway, congratulations and I look forward to hearing more.
Hello Dave, it just sounds so much smoother and less fatiguing. I love the Atom, as I say, I sold the Nova over it, but loving this PE, bought it unheard so it was a real gamble. I know I’m making sacrifices in the sound to have just one box, but that’s a main priority. I like my hi-fi to be discreet.
