Sorting ARTISTS by Alphabetical Order in Naim App

I am the owner of an NDX2 and have encountered an issue with sorting in the Naim app.
When I go to ARTISTS, then More, and select A-Z, I only see the option to sort by “Date Added”. However, in Tidal, I can choose to sort by either “Date Added” or “Alphabetical Order.”

Is it possible to sort by Alphabetical Order in the Naim app?
If not, when this feature might be available?

When I select “Title”, it applies an alphabetical order as expected. However, when I navigate to Album and then return to ARTISTS, the app does not remember the last sort selection.
In contrast, the Tidal app retains the last sort selection (e.g., “Sort by Alphabetical”).

Could you please assist me with this issue?

I’d love to help with that, but unfortunately the app does not remember the selection and defaults back to “date added”, which makes the function somewhat useless.

Another example of some pretty basic functionality that is missing from the app.

What server / upnp software are you using? If you’re using Asset or Minim, the ordering is all taken care of there.

This is for Tidal Artists in the Naim App, not uPnP server

Can I also ask if there is a way to disregard “The”. So that The Beatles, The Rolling Stones etc are not alphabetically filed under T. I know each album can be individually edited but in iTunes for example there is an automatic option.

I think that the latest version of the app remembers your sorting choice.

Do you have the latest version ?

This is handled by the UPnP server, not the streamer. Asset, for example, can be configured to list alphabetically while ignoring ‘The’ in front of the album or artist name. Naim servers do not offer this option.

I have resolved the issue. I deleted my current Naim app and reinstalled the latest version.
Now everything is working perfectly.
