I didn’t like the SBooster on it.It makes the switch sound slow.
The sps500 and the supplied power supply works better than the sbooster.
Those are als my findings.
I tend to agree with you here. When i took out my Farad Super 3/EE 8Switch and put my Cisco 2960 back in, the bass deepened, became more rhythmic, and the punch returned. I now have the famous Naim PRaT that i’ve so dearly missed.
Granted, the high frequency sparkle isn’t there anymore but that doesn’t bother me. I have to enjoy what i’m hearing rhythmically. That’s what puts a smile on my face. If i’m analysing things then i’m not really enjoying what i’m hearing. Rather i’m trying to pick apart what’s actually wrong…
After some thought and living with my Cisco 2960 Series PD for a week now i’ve decided to put purchasing a high-end audiophile network switch on hold. I just think they are over-priced. Hoping to see what the future brings.
Many thanks for your comments.
Same experience here on a streamer. Slower and warmer. Some might like it though.
