Since you mentioned Mytek Brooklyn… A Certain mag group tested 800-1800£ DACs and Musical Fidelity M6s was the winner, than came Mytek Brooklyn+ and Audiolab Mdac+, latter was said very high perf. for money.
I’ve never heard a Naim source component. My journey with DACs has been Audiolab MDAC, Chord Hugo, Schiit Gungnir multibit, Audio Note DAC2 (1997) and now Audio Note DAC 2 (2010). I’ve had this theory that the amplification should provide the drive, prat and the source should provide as much information as can be extracted without sounding edgy.
I’ve always wanted to compare my Audio Note DAC2 to a NDAC.
