I am so incredibly sensitive to audio/video glitches that Mrs AC simply fails to notice, dropped or odd interpolated frames are a particular video bugbear.

If I get the HE, I’ll still use the optical cable from the TV for std Sat TV and it’ll work for the AppleTV too if AirPlay2 has sync issues.

Also, its worth noting that the latest AppleTV does HDMI eARC too. Perhaps, eARC ➔ AppleTV ➔ Atom (AirPlay2) might be the ideal setup. :man_shrugging: Plus it supports Apple Lossless (not High Res Lossless though).
