Spotify AND Tidal

Thanks, I might still consider then as Tidal does sound good.
Daft question, but would a cheapish CD player sound as good as tidal? Any recommendations with Unitiqute 2?

Thanks
Can you make a print screen pic showing the album?
Look at my search in the JPG: No Album’ only the track in a compilation etc.

Don’t you see it if you scroll down the page?

“Try to find the Mark Knopfler “Sailing to Philadelphia” album on Tidal”

Did a search on TIDAL with the song name and the track as well as album appeared immediately…

I’m in the USA where are you located?

Found it in seconds - a UK subscription but currently in Australia.

No problem finding it easily on Tidal here in the UK on each of the following platforms:

Naim App; Linn Kazoo; Tidal App; Tidal via Roon.

It’s not available in my Tidal app. I’m in Canada. I also can’t get Malia / Boris Blank - Convergence. I see that mentioned often in the “what are you listening” thread. Licensing restrictions likely, but why is this so? Kind of ridiculous really. I have the CD ripped for Sailing to philly, so never noticed till now.

Yes - regional restrictions can be very annoying!

Convergence is not available on Tidal in Germany, either. Apart from this shortfall, I have not noticed many other albums that are not available compared to other regions. Sadly, some tracks and albums disappear from time to time, but this seems to affect other regions, too (although I have only ever tried Tidal in UK, Austria, France, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Spain and Portugal).

I use Spotify mainly for sounding out CDs before purchase and the grandchildren.
On their premium setting I’ve been surprised how good some of the recent issues sound on Spotify.

The “only” amused me.

They are countries where I either live or occasionally work. When I travel for work, I do like to relax with some music on my own rather than prop up the bar of a hotel late in the evening.

Compared to some of my more nomadic colleagues, my problems with the availability or lack of streaming services in some countries are trivial.
