Apologies if this has been described before… Due to pressure from my adult children I’ve switched from Tidal to Spotify, the issue I seem to have despite using either my iPhone or dedicated iPad for atom control they both seem to connect only via Bluetooth with associated sound degradation, given all 3 devices are on my network and the atom hardwired to router etc using cat 7 cable why cant I get it to run from the wifi system rather than Bluetooth like the Tidal system did?
Or am I missing something and help appreciated.
I have an Nova, which regarding streaming Spotify should work identically. To stream Spotify to a speaker, you use Spotify Connect. Ensure your speaker and device (phone, tablet, computer) are on the same Wi-Fi network. Open the Spotify app, start playing music, and tap the speaker icon. Select your Atom from the list of available devices to start streaming.
You can choose between either Spotify Connect, Bluetooth or Airplay to play to your streamer from the Spotify app.
I suspect the ‘sound degradation’ you mention might be because Spotify just isn’t as good as Tidal, regardless of the connection you use.
