SPOTTED: Famous musicians seen out and about

In the mid 70s, Blondie played an industry showcase gig in Camden. I was not in the industry, but wanted to see Debbie and the band. Well, Debbie anyway. My pal and I were a little worse for wear, and our attempts to get in to (I think) the Lock weren’t working. We hung around outside watching all the celebs and schmoozers when I spotted a famous Dubliner. “How come you can get in and I can’t?” I asked Phil Lynott. His reply, delivered with humour and style, was: “Because I’m a big rock star. And you’re not!”

Fair enough.

I’d “Freak out!” if I met Niles Rogers.

Chris – I believe that it’s for a TV or film soundtrack, but who knows?

Not the exact year, but it was the early 90s. The gig was just Ginger on drums and Jonas Hellborg on bass.

Harlesden, of course. Long gone, like so many clubs of that era (I left London in ‘94).

I was thinking about this thread. Our celebs get off quite lightly.
So big is the hero worship of Indian Cricketers that they cannot have any kind of normal life in India.
Virat Kohli has his main family residence in London to get some normality even though he clearly works elsewhere.

Think he owns at least one of the pubs around there.

I don’t think he owns any pubs outright around here. But he does have a financial interest in two pubs around Kidderminster and one in Stourport-On-Severn.

I had a pee next to Itzahk Pearlman at Frankfurt airport (who was also having a pee).
