**I have a NC 300 system. I am wanting to add 1 or 2 300 psu to my system but don’t have the room. The room I have it in is multi use room so the space I have is it. Would’ you stack 2 psu units and 2amps or leave as is. See picture below.
Could you put a PS or two on their sides on the floor?
I would have the two source components on the left, stack the two nap350’s on the bottom right and the two npx300 top right. keeping the source components away from the noisy stuff is a big part of the benefit
I thought about possibly getting a couple of amps stands and placing on the floor behind speakers. I will measure later to see if they will fit. thanks
Which units cause the most noise, the amps or PS?
Probably the amps because of the bigger transformers but they have signal in aswel
Probably best to try it as it is so
Streamer and pre left side
Stack nap350s right side
If it sounds worse then there’s your answer, adding two npx300 to the right stack will only improve things and there will be no psi’s on the left stack Wich is ideal
I would keep amps separated if possible, while stack the psu. I think you can put some isolators among them to increase the distance and avoid interference.
This is just an example, there are several available
Great info, thanks. Do anyone think a 2 shelf fraim would be of benefit? I think it would fit behind left speaker. If I could figure out how to make one fit behind each speaker it would save some money in cables. Sone mentioned putting the PSU on its side. Is this acceptable?
