I’m finally adding a 282 to me set up and will be using it with the SN2 as a Power Amp until moving to a 250DR.
My previous two stack order was
Rega P9 / Empty
Superline / HiCap
NDX2 / XPS DR
Empty / SN2
P9 PSU / Empty
I’m keen to put the 282 as close to the top as possible so am thinking of putting the 282 /SN2 above the NDX2 and put the XPS DR 282 i.e.
Rega P9 / Empty
Superline / HiCap
282 / SN2 (ultimately 250DR)
NDX2 / XPS DR
P9 PSU / NAPSC
This all works well except the SXPS Burndy now touches the ground. If I swapped the 282 / SN2 and the NDX2 / XPS DR so that the NDX2 / XPS is below the Superline then the Burndy will hang free but 282 would be closer to the bottom.
Would be keen to tap into the collective wisdom of the forum, as to what may be optimal, or am I over thinking things?
There are lots of threads here on the forum about this topic - worth a search!
Without knowing the lengths of your interconnects, exact order is tricky to comment.
However what springs to mind is Hi Cap and XPS swapping, which might address burndy issue. Then put S-line at bottom and move left stack up. Best to have the TT psu on the right with NAPSC or rejig r/h stack, since you show an empty space.
I used to put my 282 on the top shelf with NDX2 below, as this seemed to work a little better. Your turntable and phono stage will, however, be competing for a high shelf, and I would say that keeping the Superline high, well clear of power supplies and cables, is equally important.
Were you previously powering the Superline with your Hicap? If so you will now need a Hicap for the 282.
You can power a 282 from the supernait if missing a hicap.
When swapping supernait to 250 then you’ll need a hicap as well.
You can also relegate the napsc to the floor it doesn’t need to have shelf space.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. I conducted multiple searches before posting my question as none of the results provided an answer to my specific question. The only issue is the Burndy, all other interconnects will be fine in either configuration. Dropping the HiCap is a good suggestion, although I am trying to keep the XPS as low as possible. Cheers
I think we are on a similar page in that the SuperLine and 282 need to be as high as possible, which I think my order achieves. I think i’m going to try it this way and listen to the results.
Superline was powered off the SN2 and will now be powered by the 282, which is being powered by the HiCap.
