Hello,
is it by design that the Stageline DIN plugs have a little play?

Stefano, yes. Naim use compliantly mounted PCBs to reduce effects of microphonics. On 5 series equipment and entry level Classic kit the DINs are PCB mounted so they have a bit of movement along with the PCB itself.
