Stockfisch Records - Any Experience?

I’ve just come across an old list of albums that I’d noted to investigate. This included a general note to look at Stockfisch records. This seems to be a German outfit with plenty of stuff. For example, they offer a hi-res version of Chris Jones’ Roadhouses & Automobiles (which I’ve already got on CD).

Anyone got any of their downloads, CDs, SACDs or vinyl? Which artists? How are they?

Might give one or two of their samplers a go.

I have two Stockfisch SACDs, Poet Wind by David Munyon and the Slender Thread by Carrie Newcomer. Both are excellent imo.

Was given a Sara K album vinyl but very warped they replaced quickly.

I’ve heard a couple of the SACDs. They sound very good but have limited musical appeal. A case of Carmen Gomes Inc. syndrome!

I have SF Roadhouses and… on LP and CD. Both are really good. The LP had a small warp but that was easily curable.

SQ - fab.

I have some downloads. I quite like Allan Taylor. And a couple of their compilations. Sound quality is above average I’d say, the music has to be to your liking.
