Don’t know how you all got on during last weekends storms but we had the power line ripped off the side of our house by a falling tree. We live remotely and suffered quite a number of falling trees the best one that literally came after us after parking up on returning with a gas stove as we had no power. But as usual we survived but I remembered something from the previous week,we had been experiencing mini power cuts all week. On returning home on some days the 102 had switched to phono and the CDX display has defaulted to showing time etc normally off Power was returned 3 days later but I was not expecting any changes. But boy was I mistaken I had listened to music on the Friday before the storm and especially to Linkin Parks new album amongst others but couldn’t get into the music at all. So I can only summise that the power cable to the house was already damaged therefore causing whatever effect it was having on supplying power to the house. Just goes to prove again that maybe a lot of disatisfaction with our systems can be traced to the quality of the mains.
