No idea… just a thought.
I’ve had several Arcam CD players over the years and always been a fan of their sound.

The Arcam is no slouch, very, very good bit of kit and responds well to upgrades for those that are inclined.

Streamer only I’d take a hard look at the RIVO+

The Rivo+ looks great and sounds very good according to some reviews. But how does it handle iRadio? If it is TuneIn as I suspect then that would be a problem for me (unless things have improved there).

I have a Limetree Bridge 2 and it has been faultless. Sounds so sweet. And iRadio is handled by the wonderful Airable.

Worth a listen @Andreas.ca

My Emerson Analog uses Airable for iRadio and it’s been great.

I assumed most companies not providing their own proprietary internet radio access would have moved over to Airable but the RIVO is using TuneIn.

The Holo Red is amazing for the price. Especially with HQPlayerOS and running in NAA mode.

The Lumin U2 Mini with a Farad Super6 is an outstanding high end combo

The Emerson, like the Limetree Bridge, is an intriguing little box.

I recently had the Lindemann at home for demo a few days. Ran it with its own and with LHY power supply through a Holo DAC. It did sound very good, better than a Node N130, and I liked the size.

And there’s that lovely toggle switch….

That’s interesting are you using the 130 as the streamer in both comparisons ? In what way was it better ?

Next year I intend to split my system (if I move) with a decent quality TV and a late night headphone system. I have a Uniti Qute 2 , and am giving serious thought to a Lindimann Bridge and having my UQ serviced and putting the Lindimann as a feed.

The alternative to the Lindimann is a Bluesound Node which offers both Qobuz and Presto

I don’t see the UQ as past it’s sell by date, even if the software is out of date . I can also use it with my CDX2.2

Having followed many threads on transports, many said the Linderman smokes the Bluesound.

I did a very simple comparison using the lossless classical music channel on Swedish radio (which is a source I often use) via the SPDIF outputs and the N130 gave a harsher sound, I guess the Lindemann has better clock and/or less noisy SPDIF-out.

This hardness disappeared if I used USB-out on the N130. the optical cleaning and reclocking provided by the DAC USB-input probably helped.

This was enough to stay with the Node N130 as I need both airplay and eARC/HDMI-input.

The Nagra streamer hasn’t got a mention here. I’d be very interested to know if people have heard it and what their views are. It has some good write ups online. UK price appears to be GBP4500 but its available where I live overseas for GBP3400.

I use an Auralic Aries G2.2, The Aurender products are excellent, DCS?

Purely as a transport, or all in (w DAC?)

Modified?

I have a Panasonic DP-UB9000 player and never considered it as a streamer, but I just tried it after reading this, and it works great using mConnect. It will even stream Tidal 192khz files via the coax digital out to my Naim NAP N 272, which of course the 272 can’t do natively (as we all know the older streamers don’t get the latest Tidal capabilities), and when using mConnect as a workaround directly to the 272, the 272 chokes. No such problems coming out of the Panasonic.

That’s great! It’s always good to find a workaround… other threads discuss weaknesses of all in one Naim units as network streaming options move on, but the workarounds move on too, often letting us keep pace. Thanks for sharing your positive experience, I hope you’re as delighted as I am!
