Asset can’t do this. It’s just a regular UPnP server for local music files, not a proxy server like Bubble.
Setting up BubbleUPnP Server on a NAS or computer is fairly simple if you fancy trying it, and free if you already own suitable hardware. Other alternatives you could investigate include Audirvana or Roon, at a price.
OK @Chaff, if it does the job for you, great. But please try the app some time, its a much better “user experiemce”
I used it to find the stations initially then saved several to the preset numbers on the remote. I don’t think there’s any advantage to firing up the app on my phone over picking up the handset and pressing a couple of buttons.
Linn Kazoo is my favourite control app for streaming, I used the Bubble one on android for months but it had too many gremlins, not the fault of the 272, it was that the phone would require rebooting periodically otherwise playback would randomly stop. Also when I wanted to go back to a previous page I kept accidentally closing the app whereas the Linn Kazoo app seems to me a more intuitive UI.
Hi again, it seems my iRadio use is more prolific than yours.
I use Presets but these are just the BBC’s RP’s, Naim & Linn Radio
Additionally I browse over a lot of countries, linked in with friends & music interest in various regions, mostly US/CN, Caribbean, Eur & Africa.
(I’m on a 4 week trip to SA right now)
So I search by Location/Countries and seek out friends recommendations plus search for other stuff and generally listen to the music from the stations that carry my favourite genre(s)
Only the app enables this facility.

Correction, it is possible on the Nac-N 272 to do this too without an app; pressing the radio button on the remote takes you to the internet radio screen where there are eight different options to browse by region, genre etc. I’m not saying one is better, I have the used the app and it has good functionality but my personal preference is the simplicity of the physical remote, and as I mainly listen to iRadio whilst working from home, having the presets avoids getting too distracted by the smartphone.
