I just acquired a SN2, it came with the link plug, but I have a problem, it won’t fit/line up? Is it the wrong one? Am I doing something wrong here? Any insight will be appreciated.

Should look like this
The original supernait 1 has the sockets aligned with the slots straight up.
The supernait 2 has the sockets offset, rotated 15 or 20 degrees counter clockwise.

That looks like a link plug from an original Supernait (1). On the Supernait 2 the DIN pins are orientated at an angle. whereas they aren’t on the original. Here’s the original Supernait’s socket orientation:
