Supernait 1 - AV bypass

I need to run my supernait 1’s power amp to feed my fronts in an HT situation. To put the SN1 in av bypass are these the steps (my apologies but i find the manual vague).

  • connect RCA’s to the rear “AV in”
  • select AV on the front panel so that its illuminated
  • ensure remote is in PRE mode by pressing “pre” button
  • Hold down the “prog” button on the remote

Is this correct? and if so what can i expect from the SN1 to confirm (e.g. does something blink or flash?)
