Supernait 2 with preamplifier

Hello,
I have a supernait 2 amplifier and I was just wondering if I could improve the sound by adding a seperate Nac 112 preamplifier. I know I could have the supernait 2 supply the power for it and the idea being to keep the transformer away from the preamp to improove the sound. I guess I would have a slightly different presentation of the music would I without any real improovement. I guess the supernait 2 as a much better preamp so would there be anything to gain. Thanks

Unless you are thinking about a 282 I wouldn’t bother. The 112 may even make things worse.

I agree with Nigel, the preamp in the SN2 is pretty decent and I suspect you would need a 282 to hear an improvement.

I agree, the pre-amp in the Supernait 2 is likely superior to the NAC112.
