The modern amps aren’t so fussy I use 2x3 metres of KS-1 with my Supernait 3 and Kudos X3 speakers and all is great.
I use Naim plugs on the amp end and Deltrons on the speaker end.
For my excess I figure of 8 the extra for the closest speaker no coils.
hmm may do the same then, amp is sat on an ercol sideboard so space is tight to make it tidy like that (and I have inverted OCD)
have been contemplating the X3 or C20 as they seem to gel well with the SN3
currently swapping between the Neat Elite SX and Wharfedale Linton heritage to see what I prefer, the zippier sound of the Neat is winning so far so I assume Kudos will be a bit livelier (in a good way)
Well I meant that NACA5 would be preferred but trying to get 7mtrs of concrete pipe folded & wrapped up nicely behind the sideboard would be a nightmare in practice.
3m per side of Kudos cable with nicely soldered Deltron plugs between my SN3 and Spendor A2 speakers. Sounds great and so much easier to handle than the Naca5 I previously had.
I’m in the opposite camp with my SN3. I started with WH Phantom 3.5m for my SN3. Had that for 4+ years. Stepped up to 10m (forced to the length by my new room) Phantoms and felt like I’d never truly heard my Supernait 3 before.
And this with very easy to drive speakers (~10ohm, 96.5dB sensitive), which mitigates loudspeaker cable issues to a degree.
To each their own. Never had a stability issue with 3.5m. Nothing was “wrong”.
When I had my SN3 + HCDR in my main system, I was using 3m of Chord Signature Reference cables into Focal Electra 1038 BE II speakers and now in my Study system, Im using 2.5m of Chord Epic cables into Dynaudio Audience 72SE speakers and they have both sounded really excellent and Ive had no problems in my 6 years of ownership.
