Yes, it sounds like a faulty logo for sure.
As said above by @nitrous - disabling logo mute in the menu should stop it happening until you can arrange a replacement.

Thanks Neil, as you surmised, I’d missunderstood. I had:
Logo Off: Always
Logo Mute: Yes
So I’ve changed Logo Mute to No. Hoping that will fix things!
Works for me! I have no real need for front panel mute anyway.
Had the same problem right after purchase. Did change the logo setting and the mute problem was gone.
