Superuniti

Good afternoon, I bought a used Superuniti and it has yet to arrive but I wanted to know from your experience how do you think it sounds with my Focal Chora 826? I would also like to connect my sb Jamo to it and would like advice on connecting. How do you consider the Superuniti anyway? Still good?

I had a SuperUniti and a friend still has one. It sounds very good.

thanks for the reply, but I wanted to know how I should proceed for the connection, both from hardware and software (buttons) for the connection of the sub. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

That would depend on what inputs your sub has. If it’s an active sub it may have a suitable low level input which can be connected to the Superuniti sub out RCA sockets.
A high level connection if available can be connected to the speaker sockets.

yes my sub has both RCA inputs, but I would like to know if I have to connect both RCA cables or is just one cable enough? And then what settings should I put on the Superuniti?

The low level input is usually a stereo pair of RCA sockets on most subs, so you should use a stereo cable from the Superuniti sub out.

I understand, but what should I do about the software part?

On the Superuniti all you need to do is turn on the sub out in the speaker menu section.

Anyway in the end I didn’t take the Superuniti anymore but I veered towards a Supernait 2 and I think that for the connection problem it’s still the same? 2 or 1 RCA?

Yes, you can use the sub out RCA sockets on a Supernait.

You should use both. If you don’t, the sub will only be playing bass from one channel.

When you use a subwoofer in a normal 2 channel setup, you take both left and right signal, otherwise, as HH posts above, you’ll only get the low frequencies from one of the two channels…
This is not to be confused with an AV setup where you have a dedicated .1 LFE channel, which is just a single channel. A good sub like Naim’s own n-Sub will usually have both 2 channel music and also .1 LFE inputs to cover both bases, you can switch between the inputs according to source.
