That is a stunning room!
Thanks very much, ChiefChirpa. Actually a Breuer Wassily in the lower left. You had me wondering if Naim had issued some LC components I wasn’t aware of!
Nice room. Does your TV/HiFi break down a lot?!
Hi, I recognise it, it’s called ohpopsi smashed vinyl record mural. Looks good.
Thanks for reminding me Robert - must admit I had forgotten!
Great room and i like your rather unique stand. Love those Neats
Nice rug - I must say that the SL2’s didn’t initially appeal but they’ve really grown on me after seeing yours and HH’s examples in the system pics. It’s a shame that most manufacturers continue to make speakers that sit out in the room instead of making models that make good use of the wall. As most of us need to share the living space with partners and family, wall located speakers make a lot of sense.
Thanks James. I completely agree with your comments regarding speakers close to the wall makes sense especially in most UK living rooms, my Allaes in the other room are also close to the rear wall and the last thing Vicki and I want are speakers several feet into the room.
HiFiman,
Yves-Bernard Andre, the founder of YBA, always maintained that to improve the system’s sound it is critical that fibers of the rug should lean towards the listening spot to help the sound waves glide towards it. I hope that your new rug is positioned accordingly.
Well, it was -10 last night with some snow. I’m in Kingston Ontario, Canada
LOL - actually upon reflection, the stand, hifi, chair and television are everything I was left with after the divorce ;/
They are the first piece of hifi that I have not wanted to upgrade. I love them too.
Wow. Love that space.
Great repurpose of that tool unit. Enough draws for all the hifi peripherals and tuning gadgets.
The console table! I looked at that and thought, initially, that it was a Snap-on tool chest! Looks fantastic, whatever it is.
stiff competition for Bob’s Medical Trolley
How do you find it acoustically?
Nice rug!
I never thought I’d say that to a man.
