Wow, I may check out Ikea. In the photos it looks like it’s an expensive bespoke piece of furniture, perhaps because it of clever use of colour on the wall behind.
That’s AFTER I tidied it up!
IKEA do some great looking items, it’s just choosing what works in your room & all that but the dark wall definitely helps tie things in.
If anyone has found a way to keep cables tidy in a separates AV setup then I take my hat off to them.
Quite! I’m not sure exactly what’s down the back of the Meridian system (see post 1966 above) apart from the odd spider or two , but It’s got to come apart this weekend to replace the 562V/518/565Z3 stack with the new 568.2mm processor. And one of the features of the Meridian DSP systems is that there are effectively two sets of interconnects between the boxes, one for the digital audio streams and the other for the “control bus”, and they don’t always run alongside each other!
And I’ve got a NAT 05 arriving today for the study system
That’s how it is, I have all my AV system adjacent to the main Naim hifi system and it looks worse as some of the speaker cables are longer in case I move them around. With so many cables you just do the best that you can!
When I met my wife I was a confirmed audiophile so she took that on board; the quid pro quo has been three horses, two cats, rabbits and a couple of fish!

Beautifully taken pictures of an amazing looking room @RackKit.
Fabulous.
I’m guessing you take photos for a living? They could be taken from a Naim catalogue (apart from the Denon pic!).
I recommend some marinara to finish it off!
…compromise and support go a long way in making a successful relationship!
Many years ago I had to do a deal with my wife…three gerbils for Sky Sports. As the children are now grown up the gerbils are no more but thankfully Sky Sports remains, albeit nothing to watch on it at the moment!
Thanks Chris - much appreciated!
If only Naim had built a Blu-Ray player.
Yeah, I’m a freelance photographer by trade not that’s much trade going on at the moment! Hopefully it’ll be short lived but I’ll start looking around for other income in the meantime.
We’re living in very strange times at the moment - hope everyone is taking care of themselves.
Cheers, Rack.
Aproo, a lovely setup. How do you find the Focals Diablos, do they perform well across genres, I wonder what your previous speakers were. Cheers, Vik
My previous speakers were Neat Motive 2. I feel the Diablos work well in my fairly small listening space. I tried the Kanta 2s but they were to boomy. The Diablos are at another level with the midrange, detail and articulate bass. So far so good!
LOL!
I bet having three horses is more expensive than listening to good music.
