Very nice, the white shelves are looking just right there.
Is the wood flooring installed over the rug?@ HiFiman
Quality pics as usual James_n
Lovely system & pics YetiZone.
My irregularly shaped (pentagonal) listening room
yep - in the way is where they are.
Beautiful interior, love the contrasting black end wall with the diagonal cut line that leads to the bottom of the door and skirting board. System isnāt bad either!
The Cardas āGolden Ratioā as Iāve read it is 1:1.6
He does show an equilateral triangle for ānear fieldā listening. Iām not sure how that sounds however.
Using my enforced quarantine to experiment a bit. Borrowed a Fraim shelf from the brawn stack ( in a cupboard through the wall behind this rack) and relocated the Radikal to above and behind the TT on a TigerPaw wall shelf. The LP12 seems to sound better on the Fraim anyway. the aim is to get the TT further separated from the streamer and preamp. Also swapped the order of the Naim boxes so the streamer is now above preamp. The digital side certainly seems to prefer this arrangement though I also took the opportunity to plug and unplug everything both sides of the wall and do a bit of cable dressing, so what is responsible for what I canāt be totally sure! ND555 finally starting to sound as I think it should is the really good news.
Does your LP12 have Trampolin2? Interesting that you prefer it on Fraim than on the wall.
Looks very nice:) i have the Sony setup as well headphone/DAP, i need a mytek:))
My favoriye headphone is Stellia at the moment altough i like my Utopia more but 2 kids require a closed headphone
Hi Bart, yes it does have Tramp2. The wall is very solid brick too, so should be ideal for the Vulkan. In truth, the Vulkan sounds pretty good, but I think I marginally prefer it on Fraim. Bass is a smidge quicker and the whole thing sounds a bit lighter on its feet. Marginal though.
Good to hear, as Iāll be doing my best to avoid adding a wall shelf.
Bart, Just read your posts on the āis Fraim worth itā thread. It was a good point raised that with an LP12 it may well depend on what kind of a floor you have under the Fraim. Mine is solid poured concrete, so I guess as stable as it comes. So I guess what Iām saying in the interests of full disclosure is that if you have have a different construction, perhaps particularly suspended wooden flooring, it could well be differentā¦
Exactlyā¦
Wall shelf worked better for me- suspended wood floor here.
Great room!
Lovely room!
Now this is interesting, brawn and brains in different rooms. I was wondering if I should do that since both in the lounge is not going to get the needed approvalš But I do have space in a room directly behind. Is there anything to worry about running cables through openings in walls. Old Edwardian house in the UK with 9inch thick walls.
Iād think that some of the interconnects just wonāt be long enough. Measure twice, cut once.
Youāll need to drill some large holes to pass Burndy plugs through. The only box I have in the next room is the NS01, so just have to accommodate an Ethernet cable, which passes through a 6mm tube which is glued in the wall.
