This is my first post on the forum so I hope the images appear as they are supposed to.
Finally got around to taking a couple of images of my system which was originally installed in May 2019, removed & reinstalled after decorating room in October.
The display unit was custom made for me from solid walnut, to match the deck plinth & speakers. I went for a clean, functional look & think that this fits the bill!
I also include a photo of my previous set up which was based around an LP12/32.5/Hi - cap/140 set up from 1987 &, bar a couple of factory services & addition of CD player & upgraded cassette deck & FM receiver, had very few changes until last year.
Thanks HH. I’m continually surprised how good they can sound after all this time. Bit of Eric C unplugged on at the moment, glass of wine and an open fire. Certainly all good here.
It’s a balmy 12 degrees here, so even slippers aren’t needed, let along a proper fire. I don’t subscribe to the idea of new fangled modern speakers being miles better: stuff like original Epos, early Linn and of course Naim are very hard to beat.
Upgrade from the Nova to NDX2, XPSDR, SN3, Hi Cap, Innous Zen, Dynaudio Evoke 50, G3 and Fraim Lite with already bought Quadraspire Reference pads.
Very happy with the sound which is brilliant in a 7m x 5m room.
Pleased to say the wife is getting used to the speakers being a bit larger than the previous Special 40s.
