System Pics 2021

Split a single Fraim rack into “brains and brawn”. Background blackness increased and a more spatial presentation than before. Great upgrade :raised_hands:

I thought you were talking about Feng Shui for a moment.

I love the Tannoy DCs.

What are the bits next to the SBooster? I am presuming a phono stage??

Not heard of it, good review in Stereophile.

Can I ask what spike cups you are using for your stands, I need some when we get a new floor. Thanks.

I use Quadraspire QC Floor Pads. Works great and finish matches Fraim parts.

Hi not sure as had them for a few years now,
I have about 12 left that I don’t use, if you can find me on PF I will let you have some, the ones under the fraim are fraim cups

I’d need all 12 of them so I’ll take a look on-line for the options, but thanks for the offer.

As said I have 12, that I can’t see me ever using again, as said if you can find me on pink then you can have them

I don’t use Pink Fish, but have created an account, although the confirmation email is taking forever to come through. How will I find you? I am registered with my forum name.
Sorry for thread drift.

Sorry for the thread drift

My neighbours would be quite disappointed were I to conduct a similar test :no_mouth:

I recently started house hunting. It’s not that I need a bigger place, but my (recently expanded) Naim system does. First thing I check is the living room, to see where I’d position the racks & speakers. Kitchens, bedrooms, etc. are a mere afterthought.

I assume this is perfectly normal behaviour for Naim owners*

Too funny almost any house I visit I’m always mentally thinking where could I setup my system.

Same here - there has to be a room that will properly accommodate the system when I look at a new place.

And for married to! Indeed, Mrs Mike said if we ever move that the house must have my music room :sunglasses::sunglasses::+1:

Suitable houses with good listening areas aren’t that common though.

I think the very last word is the differentiator here…!

This is funny. Because we are finalising plans with an architect and I am stressing that the living room be subtly engineered for music (sound proof walls, large number of dedicated sockets, trunking and panels for surround sound etc.) but that it should still feel like the living room and be the centre of the house with a couple entrances.

It is Mrs. FZ who pushing for me to have a dedicated listening room. I don’t want to be sent into exile though.

Yes, I get what you mean. You’re in a good position to have both though, as you have two systems :sunglasses::sunglasses:. We enjoy both the lounge and listening room systems, and I have a space for a more dedicated listen when I want too, which has worked out well.
