Itā€™s actually less of a cul-de-sac space than the ā€œlandscapeā€ setting on the mobile device camera makes it look. The space is actually quite small; 3m x 3.5m so I used that setting to fit it all in shot.

However, plaster over rubble, stone and concrete infill walls (Spanish ā€œFicaā€) plus the fact that behind me the room extends into a kitchen area made it incredibly ā€œliveā€.

The baffling deadens things almost to perfection. Looks pretty ā€œStation To Stationā€ as well.

Lovinā€™ the HMV ā€˜Nipperā€™ ornament.

A very classy looking room if I may say so. And I think the realistic looking skin and toe nail socks your good lady wife is wearing are really clever, lol.

Nice shoes

Nipperā€™s been getting around these daysā€¦

Something old and something new(er).

Sorry for the miserable cell phone pic on double enlargement.

They are very nice shoes indeed. I was diagnosed with Diabetes about ten years ago and developed a foot problem in my left foot called Charcot Foot.

I ended up with my left foot in a Cast for six months to help heal the foot structure. The Orthotic shoes and insoles are individually crafted for each foot.

It is quite unbelievable that something that looks so simple can alleviate so much pain and discomfort.

I am using optical ethernet into the dsm/3 and I think everything seems better than copper, how do I put it? Music is more musical, images, soundstage appear to be more expansive, timbre is more definitive, bass seems tighter, snappier, mid is more mellow, and high is smoother.

Apologies for those well-worn hifi words, but I canā€™t help saying. and I hope it is not placebo, letā€™s see if I can live with it long term.

Will be testing Vivid S12ā€™s shortly letā€™s see if they can oust my beloved PMC 20.21 ā€¦so far the PMCā€™s have seen off B&W805D3ā€¦letā€™s see what Vivid can doā€¦
Before I get shouts of derision re B&W I found the 805D3 in my small room needed ear splitting levels to come aliveā€¦I think they are smallish speakers for biggish roomsā€¦

No derision ! I agree that the 805s need some poke to wake upā€¦but am surprised a 500 system didnā€™t supply it.

I sometimes think my 252/300DR has a bit too much poke!

As with all, I guess itā€™s the combination of system, room etc.

I think it was my roomā€¦but those speakers like taking by the scruff of the neckā€¦they are goodā€¦but not for meā€¦ I think the D4 is a touch better to wake upā€¦but still want some stickā€¦(Audiophilliac)

Yes indeed. Sufficient distance to walls, a good amp and joy is there.

Yep thatā€™s exactly what I thoughtā€¦donā€™t be fooled by the speaker size the little suckers want space and powerā€¦and they will deliverā€¦however, kinda missing the point of having a small speakerā€¦

Never get bored of these speakers! The plate amps driving the bass drivers have 3 presets and i have just dialled them in nicely so i have a nice warm presentation, a neutral one that sounds as it should, and one that is very slightly lean. This can be helpful if we are watching a movie on the bright side or the opposite. I mostly just keep it neutral but it has been great having the option.
