Have a try. They are cheap, good quality and easy to resell in case you don’t like it.
Compare to the chord TT, my smsl Su9 is slightly warmer sounding which I like.

Wize fella
That E800 is a beast!
Love those Titans, 606’s, or 707’s?
Also, your TV and soundbar look great!
Thank you.
I have the 606s. Actually reading about your posts on the 606s encouraged me to demo them. I was previously pretty set on the PMCs, and almost pulled the trigger on a pair.
I also demoed the 707s, I do like them better than the 606s, but they were slightly out of budget and I felt their lager size may also overwhelm the room.
The TV is a Sony and I use a Bose sound bar.
What speaker stands are you using for your Pro-Acs ? Love the look.
They are from Something Solid.
But look like something flimsy.
It’s going to be a long day…
I’ve just gone and got a beer.
I’m on my second. Now, where’s the popcorn?
They do a bit, but I have a pair too and they’re extremely sturdy and a lot heavier than they look.
Main thing is the wife doesn’t dislike them (not the same as liking them obvs). Oh and they sound great - the open frame design works.
That’s what’s nice about them. They are made from solid steel bars - hence the name - and welded together. They are heavier than unfilled Solidsteel stands for example, which are made from steel tubes. Stands like Atacama are made from tubes and bolt together, giving points of weakness. All stands resonate in different ways and the Something Solids are designed so that the unavoidable resonances impact on the music in the least bad way. The speakers sound a lot better on them than on the Solidsteels, despite the flimsy look. It’s a look I prefer to something like the Atacama HMS1-T, which is the standard recommendation for the T10, and which are far more chunky. With spindly stands you can see through them to the wall, so they are much less visible. Not everyone will like the rather industrial design, but Mrs HH and I are very pleased with them.
Love the McIntosh sideboard, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the two door version before
Thank you, that’s great spotting. It’s full of records. I’m not sure where to put more now.
The eternal downside of vinyl We bought a G Plan low sideboard for storing our most played records, the rest are on some Ikea shelves along with some books etc.
I’ve long been a fan of the McIntosh but they’re (the 3 door) too big for us, yours was a case of wow, ideal!
I have the soundtouch bar too. Love it, was a bit problematic setting up with my Samsung TV but sounds great.
That’s my experience as well, took ages to set it up with my Sony tv, but once done amazing sound quality.
Although the latest firmware seems a lot less buggy.
