Yep! My movie sub I seldom actually use. The 2 little ones are always on instead.
And there’s a little lazy susan on top of it which is just temporal. It is usually in the cabinet.

I always think the wood finish makes these speakers look ugly but the black gloss looks brilliant.
Might be finger print magnets but piano finish is awesome so long we are not talking about some vinyl wrap that cracks, curls up and comes off.
On an unrelated note, @elevensheep, the lazy susan is off the sub so no one should panic here.
Black oak here…regarding fingerprints /dust the sensible solution.
Also love the more organic look.
But black gloss lacquer looks cool for sure!
I’ve black gloss finish in my car and must admit you can see where the grandchildren have been but takes a lot of beating regarding aesthetic appeal.
My fridge has glass doors and they are finger print magnets but I happily clean it at least once a week. Mrs David loves it too because the curved surface makes us look slimmer.
Black gloss can look cool but the interior of my car has black gloss finishes and it’s a ball ache to dust and keep clean of prints. Works on speakers but in cars I think it’s a bad design!
Still prefer natural wood but do agree that gloss works in some interiors/systems.
So true. I have blackbutt floorboard, brown sofa set and clear glass coffee table. Subs can be white to go with the entertainment unit but speakers are natural wood. Black won’t work for me altogether.
I’m sure there is a reason why not, but could you centre the sideboard?
Some people (including my wife) prefer deliberately off centre to geometrically perfect positioning. I believe this OCD obsession with positioning is linked with hifi obsession generally.
Recently traded in my XS & Hicap for the Exposure 3010, very pleased with the quality and no more nagging ‘what ifs’.
Trust you to notice that Jon! I have toyed with the idea of having it centred after seeing some photo’s on here but tv outlet is behind the right side and it’s a bit of a ‘cably mess’, however I guess the speaker would mask it to an extent…I may give it a shot.
Timmo, there is no doubt I have an issue already with OCD so anything that would help to tame that is a good thing!
We could put a vote on it but the boss would probably have the final say. But you could try it.
Here was me wondering what role Todd Doors played in Star Wars!
Episode 4?
@love_leeloo Very nice indeed - lovely system mixing olive and classic. If I were to buy a Fraim, I think I’d choose all black to contrast our wooden floor as per your system - elegant and simple. And, a whole system on two shelves - bring back the shoeboxes please Naim!
The last free shelve is for a nDAC I bought recently.
It will be place between Qute and 72
The UQ is an excellent transport for the nDac, I used to have the same setup many years ago and does away with setting the UQ volume at around 85 too.
@anon35295649 & @HiFiman Interesting idea - have to admit I’d never considered going in that direction the UQ2. Of course, no pre when using Qute’s digital out and negating the volume limit.
A worthwhile improvement adding the nDac?
