Is that a Planar 8? I thought I saw the Dino protecting a 6.
In the Dino picture it’s a 6.
No changes to either system since 2020, but a new piece of glass sculpture in each room.
Main system in downstairs lounge.
My latest addition. Currently selling my 2020 Nait XS2 (and the FlatCap I had attached is sold already).
Replaced by a lovely Supernait 2, which is settling in really well.
Don’t think I have ever seen a stylus timer before. I should get one. I have iso-acoustic pucks under my LP12. If you ever get sick of the blue light on the Node2i you can turn it off
Very nice.
Pic only on at start-up then the blue light goes off .
The IsoAcoustics are new and I have a set for under my CDP too - how do you find them?
Stylus timer is good for my obsessive recording of hours
Thanks Steve.
The amp is settling in very well. Was obviously very well looked after
In case you are interested, you can still get the “Shelf Support Carbon Fibre Upgrade” from Stands Unique, at a very reasonable price. They are still partially trading but just for a small number of parts they have left over.
Very nice amp. I nearly came back to the Naim fold with a Supernait 2 when I bought my Hegel H190
but the Hegel won out in the end the extra power gave my speakers more life.
When I went from my Nait XS to the SN1 about 10 years ago, it was one of the bigger upgrades I ever experienced…the subsequent move from SN1 to 272/250 was not even as impactful to me.
They work great under my LP12. It just flows better and makes more musical sense. They key is to make sure the weight rating of all the pucks together is the same or a little less than the equipment on top of them otherwise they don’t make much of a difference.
Yeah I have bought some new shelf supports from them in the last year from Cyprus and have quite a few of the brass/carbon isolators on my kit too
Super. Heard the Hegel is great but more laid back than the Naim.
It’s certainly a good upgrade. It’s like my XS2 with FlatCap, but just beefier and more defined.
Long term I will try my HiCap on it, looking eventually to get its own DR version.
Absolutely - I removed the granite plinth I had under my P8 and CDP as it weighed them down. These ones are ideal for my P8 and CDP as they are just slightly compressing with plenty of cushion - and a bargain too.
Rebuilt the fraim this morning but as I’m waiting for a couple of shelves and some speaker cables I can’t say how this sounds yet…
…am pleased with the looks though, even though there may be a touch too much black for some
Nice coffee mug !
Thanks
Sadly the car isn’t in the garage anymore but the coffee(s) got me through the fraim rebuild
