System Pics 2021

A rubbish photo from the iPad , can’t find my 20 MM lens at the moment.

First TV , Pioneer Universal Player, Sky Box and UnitiQute acting as DAC , then speakers ( obviously ) then Clearaudio Turntable , a Nova to replace the Aethos , a CDX2 , then a Graham Slee reflex and a NAT03 (so not to leave any empty shelves)

The Nova is my humble pie, I was quite harsh on the SN3 and how it drove the Harbeths - in the dealer’s showroom with my speakers , much preferring the Rega Aethos , but I borrowed the Nova and here it stayed.

A trade off between flexibility and sound . There are always better systems out there, just happy with wot I’ve got.

But no socks

Definitely DJing in this one!
(FR…DJing might not have a literal translation into French)

Not found traduction. Original? Particular?

You are not in the right thread Ian. You should post in pets and systems pics :joy:
Curious that you prefer the Nova vs the SN3, as integrated. Can you explain?

In the end I decided to force myself to adopt streaming - at the same time keeping the box count down , which is where the Nova won over the SN3 .

I had a Rega Aethos before, it was a beast, damned good sound but as you can see the corner is very cramped and all the inputs were on the wrong side compared to my Naim outputs, at the same time moving anything was tricky - I have one cataract, one dodgy knee, two incisional hernias and a large amount of mesh following extended surgery . The Nova is about 4 kilos lighter than the Aethos

So I bit the bullet and moved the system sideways (figuratively) .

About two and half years ago, I had a full five box Naim Classic Amplifier system that was in need of TLC , getting it out was easy, getting it back almost impossible so I have been downsizing while at the same time trying to improve flexibility .

I did think about posting it in the pets and systems thread but I thought this thread needed some system photos…

And a Uniti, Olive and Black were an unusual combo

Thanks for the explanation. As for systems pics and pets, it was a joke. I hope you have taken it as that

Helium 30 type 1003. ( the turntable you were asking above)

I looked myself but I didn’t find it, I did find these though, a couple of funky looking decks in there too The 15 most incredible Space Age record players

Very much so , it was an accident that Mrs Houdini strayed into shot.

I like your posts and it is very rare that I feel the slightest hackle rise when reading this forum - and if I do it’s usually because I have misunderstood

It’s original, why not Audionote speakers cables? I know that the first were Audionote Japan, then there was Audionote UK. Or something like that…?
