It’s not the Messiah, it’s just a very Naughty Nait! Well, poorly actually. Packing it up ready to go for some TLC.
It’s a shame Kudos stopped production of the X range. IIRC, rising manufacturing costs were making these look uncompetitive against the more impressive looking (big boxes, loads of drivers) competition. Nice speakers.
Totally agree @james_n One of my “buyers remorse” purchase recovery items: I liked them originally at demo, but went with “more exciting” Tannoys. Those were nice enough but honestly fatiguing and I felt kind of agitated. In the meanwhile, the X2s went out of production and I purchased a new-in-box clearance pair for half price. Circle of life sort of tale… I think they’re great. People getting them used should be very pleased even now…
Gliders are indeed handy, but just swapped mine out for some Isoacoustic Gaia III.
Wasn’t convinced they’d perform under stands (despite several reviews to the affirmative), but they’re well worth the money IMO, especially for bass resolution and overall separation. Only downside is the Gaia’s glide factor is exactly zero!
As they use to say in Thunderbirds, F-A-B
Thank you!
Easy peasy … … … just tilt them sideways to release the “sticky” feet, slide a cloth under those two, then do the same for the other side.
Doddle, and that’s with a heavyweight pair of MF9s.
What do you think of the Perlisten speakers? Satisfied?
Really liking them a lot. They’re fantastic
I’ve got the as part of a 7.1 with Perlisten centre and surrounds. It’s brilliant.
I was expecting this kind of answer, unfortunately
Not a fan of racks, Rafael?
I think it will benefit from a rack and you’d probably notice a slight improvement in SQ. You could try and put your system just to the right of your right speaker, under that picture. No harm in trying. Enjoy your music!
If it means they are not stacked, that will get some votes about better SQ. If you want go further, you can try putting isolation platforms under the boxes, but they may well not make enough difference to be worth the bother.
Thank you for your suggestions. Stacked or not stacked, I am quite enjoying the recently arrived NAP 200.
Good, that’s all that matters.
Is that a functioning heat radiator?
Demo a must if your looking at them. Have your wallet open ready!
I’m afraid so.
