Told you! It is a great unit!! I am still loving mine and will post some updated system pics once my new HiFi unit arrives in 6-8 weeks time :+1:

In fairness WAYTM, I did test it extensively before ordering it, so I knew what to expect😉

Decent bit of kit and you’ve hit the “sweet” spot with the config you landed on. I was an early adopter of the Selekt and enjoyed our time together and the flexibility/reliability it offers, my swan song config was running it with an XLR pre output cartridge in to a 200 Series NAP 250 which worked rather well (ran it all the way up to a 5.1 integrated setup), enjoy :smiling_face:

Nice one. Linn seem to have certainly hit the sweet spot with the Selekt.

Enjoy your new acquisition :+1:

It’s not at pretty as an Atom HE though.

Yes it is…:wink:

@james_n

And so have Naim with the NSS 333 streamer if one cares to listen to it

A mighty machine

Sadly Bevo, it suffered from the same problems I had with the ND Streamers here. Otherwise, it would definitely have been in the running.

No issues with my NSS 333 at all - sounds wonderful

My NDX2 is a slightly different matter

How does the NSS333 compare against your LP12 Klimak? I often think I’d have been better off investing in that rather than the ND555 (keeping the NDX2 and putting the ND555 dollars into the LP12). Though off course I hadn’t expected Naim to downgrade my ND555 for me….

Now that is a great question Mike

For me the NSS 333 is close to the LP12 40th Klimax

I wasn’t expecting that at all, bit of a shock really

The Klimax is still better and from what I read it would be even better with the Radikal 2 PS as have Rad 1 from day one . But I’m happy as it is.

I might add my NDX2 has a few little issues as we know about, once that’s all fixed re FW it’s a mighty machine

Yes, there’s a lot hanging on that being resolved. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

@Mike_S

Maybe not the thread to discuss it - I’ve listened to the Linn streamers vs Naim and much prefer Naim . Linn to me are a bit cold and clinical , but that’s just me

We had seemingly, unresolvable issues with both ND streamers and our network/home.
Not repeatable outside of our home, even using exactly the same network kit🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you near, or under a line of high voltage pylons…?

Smooth post HH, just like the Atom volume dial, unlike the Selekt :joy:

I’d describe it as “polite” whereas Naim equivalents have the growl of a nicely warmed up naturally aspirated V8 :lion:

Don’t tempt me :joy:

@Mr.M

Actually that’s a great analogy :+1:

Prefer a bit of growl myself :grinning_face:

Great looking system. It has been quite a while since I last visited this thread, and it appears that the speakers now look different. May I ask how the 282/Hicap DR is preferable to the 552. :grin:
