It isn’t, but the £’s vs gain is higher than I’m willing to pay.
The £’s vs gain in other areas, Dual Organik, LP12 Upgrades, SuperCap on the SuperLine would all be more relatable.
If I went 552, I’d then be thinking all of those upgrades would become essential AS WELL…

The second arrival yesterday was Mrs Q’s Linn Majik DSM replacing the 202/200 ND5 XS2 system.
Though the Majik DSM doesn’t have the full breadth of sound delivered by the 202/200, it definitely punches well above its weight and delivers exactly what Mrs Q wanted in a single box solution.

It’s interesting that the problems only started following the Naim FW update for ND Streamers last fall and that none of the Linn Streamers are affected or my 3 MuSo’s…

…seems Naim coding are the cause, and Naim should have an answer, but from what I know about IT (not much of course, - what do I know about anything) odd and strange behaviour in a single or ever a few incidents will not be sorted, too few resources and too little incentive…

Thanks! Yes, it‘s one twin MALM and a single one. Core, Goldnote Phono Pre-Amp and external Power Supply are behind the TV on a shelf attached to the MALM.

If you like physical CDs, drop the NDX2. Left field, get a Urika fitted into the LP12 and drop the SL and SC?

A number of ways to go Mike and probably whatever way would be a bit of a compromise
Don’t want to go the Urika / Radikal way as already have that on the LP12 40th down south
Maybe just drop the XPS2 - NDX2 gets the benefit from it but not CDX2
It’s a difficult one as one day the CDX2 will depart this earth, then what happens , when that happens it’s an argument to keep the NDX2 . Mind you have the CD5XS to fall back on.
Of course the most dramatic way would be to completely drop the SL/SCDR and go MM cartridge ( or High Input MC cartridge) using NAIT 50 phono stage ! ( I can hear the screams from here 
) and keep the current Kandid as replacement for the one on the LP12 40th down south.

Vinyl currently split 50/50 between the 2 locations which is probably rather stupid
One solution would be to locate the LP12’s down south but just to figure out what that might look like physically
No point in thinking about selling the LP12 ARO as no market and wouldn’t want to do that anyway , taken me 7 years to build up etc
If relocate the LP12 ARO then could have the second system on 4levels
CDX2
NDX2
NAIT 50
XPS2
Or 5 levels if bring out the nDAC to feed the CDX2
Might miss vinyl in Sydney pad though ha

You could swap the two LP12s so the one with the Urika is in Sydney - unless there is an SQ rationale for the current organisation.
