Welcome to the forum! Nice system ![]()
Looks awesome. There’s something about black Fraims and 500 kit!
Thanks for this, that’s very useful input!
I’ll be sure to report back.
System sounding absolutely epic. Loving the Naim full 500DR system and Linn Klimax LP12, the subs and Focal speakers.
Really appreciate what I have and I am enjoying it all.
Wow! Not sure I dare post a pic of my system ever again!
Congrats.
It has taken many years to build up my system and been through many iterations.
The sound now is so good.
Posting system pics is the best on here. So please continue to send system pics.
Nice - QQ - are the subs connected to the speakers directly or the NAP500?
The Rel Sub S812s are connected to the speakers. And connected to the AV Amp. Also earth wires for AV amp.
TV is small. ![]()
It’s a small 65". ![]()
Nooo, don’t say that, Dan will have to get a bigger one! ![]()

Bigger speakers. Bigger TV. 6 pack subwoofers.
Yes, very nice. But…
I think my system and TV size is right for the room. Wouldn’t want to go bigger.
Killer system Dan. Don’t touch a thing!
It’s just right for the size of room. I am playing it loud all night. It’s immense!
Looking bad ass with the two stacks with sources on top and the subs in place. Very clean with the symmetry and the larger gap for the 500 power amp. I imagine your system really slams!
Thanks, but I’m now even more confused about how to cable my Active 505’s and NAP500’s to a single or pair of Rel’s. So much contradictory info online about what works and what doesn’t ![]()
I don’t wanna hijack this thread so have emailed Rel for advice.
Thanks Ryan. It was certainly slamming last night.
For single sub woofer Rel High line connection:
The Rel’s come with the long cable. You cut the outer sheath of the cable down so that you have wires long enough from sub to each speaker. Red core to right positive speaker terminal. Black core to left speaker positive terminal. Yellow core shouldn’t need to be used (earth) Use electrical tape on yelloe terminal bare end.
If you wire to one speaker you will just get bass from that side. The way I have stated means you will get bass from both speakers.
You can go from power amp or preamp as well. Lots of ways of doing it.
