What was wrong with your initial fraim stack?
Nothing really, just started fiddling. Main goal was to lift the burndies from the floor and its ended up a bit Frankenstein!
It can take alot of change to make it work. I think you should go for it. It may sound better. Have you noticed an improvement at all?

I know this road. That’s why I took a complete fiddle detox. Also not good - I ended in preliminary (Mains cable under rug) situation for 2 years. And also aro not installed … different story. ![]()

Hard to say Dan. Gave the system a good blast last night (empty house) and it sounds absolutely amazing. I will leave things as is for a few days, then tackle the stack next weekend.
Thanks for all your feedback guys, noted that the stacks looked better when they were at the same height.
Thanks. I use KS1. I’ve never tried anything else. I keep wanting to try something else, just out of curiosity….
I wouldn’t, you’ll only be disappointed

Unfortunately severely space limited at present. Sorry, no N50 in system today either, it’s awaiting it’s turn patiently. I am using the tiddlers to the right today rather than main speakers. A lot of fun.
I agree with @Osiris. If it’s sounding how you like it, leave it alone ![]()
Sounding quite good, still messing with positioning, a bit closer to the rear wall and reduced the distance between them slightly. Impressed with lower volume listening on them also.
Now that is one gorgeous looking sideboard which needs no Naim to improve it.
I have the CDT9000 with a Chord Qutest dac. It’s lovely but I find it painfully slow on load up.
Bought a couple of ex demo Fraimlite levels, but they are darker than the advertised picture, not American cherry. Ended up using these to make up the right hand base, freeing up a full fat level to be used higher up.
The only cables that touch the floor are the two Powerlines. What I’ve noticed is a much deeper, richer sound. Really pleased with the audio result.
Anyway, here is a picture of the final build. Nait 50 isn’t powered (its new home with its big brother) as I’ve dismantled the second setup to make space for another project.
I’ll never understand why audiophiles force other people on the internet to look at their feet.
It’s just a standing joke / running theme on this thread.
Morning Charles, how are things progressing? Mine have settled in at 29.5 and 31.5 from back wall to rear of speaker inside edge and outside edge respectively. They sit about 155 cm apart from each other on closest edge.
I did try totally different free space setting and didn’t work at all but that’s been my experience in this room with all speakers I’ve tried firing down the length and not across the width.
I’d still say I am some way off the advised 200 hours of running in yet so they may still have more to bring to the party yet.
Definitely a very good match for the room size and can be driven to high volumes without exciting the rest of the house.
Yes, that is really, really bad.
Only Naim electronics missing ![]()
If you want to buy me a 552/500 I would be grateful ![]()
