This product has been on the market for a few months now, has anybody on the forum purchased one or heard it yet ?
I’m familiar with Tangerine Audio’s products having a stiletto LP 12 / Aro set up. Just trying to garner members thoughts ?

Regards,
@Clive has done the upgrade along with Stiletto and Skorpion very recently.
I commented on the Revolver in the Show Us Your Sondek thread. I think it complements the Stiletto and Skorpion very well. Have a look in the Kabin as James has also recently purchased the Revolver.
I did a thread on this some months ago but got very few responses
I bought one at that time and yes it’s a significant improvement and glad I did it
I also bought a black Evenstar which to my ears makes pretty much no difference

Must admit the black top plate they do looks really smart, sound aside
I find that strange about the Evenstar made a difference to my ears but then I haven’t stretched to the Revolver.

Martin
Don’t forget our venerable @Cohen1263 .
I haven’t bought the new platter Rooster. With my deck only a few months old it seems quite wasteful to discard the one I have. Plus it sounds great as is. These things are never ending!
I plan to swap my dealer’s dem example in and out on Monday, but after I test for weight as, in its box, it feels heavier than the standard model – now where did I put the kitchen scales? Of course, this may be incorrect thinking.
Will report ASAP afterwards.
Yes, but maybe you have an opinion on it. Was curious.
I just received email notification that you’d sought my opinion on this, but I cannot find the post on here. However, I cannot do the comparison, I’m afraid, as I traded my outer platter as part of the overall transaction. My Stiletto was set up with the Revolver. When I had the initial demo, Peter was swapping the Linn and Tangerine platters on his turntable to demonstrate the improvement and I can’t say I noticed any change to the position of the platter relative to the top plate. I’m sure he said they were the same mass too, so I assume there’s a redistribution of mass which is contributing to the improvement; that together with the different material, of course. Assuming the Revolver has higher inertia, I do wonder if it places a higher load on the belt during start up. Even if that were the case, I think the sound improvement still makes it worth doing.
No great differences in mass between the Revolver and the standard outer platter currently and so no need for a re-set or adjustment as you saw Clive. Anyone doubting the mass of the Revolver is correct, and so not the same as the standard outer platter they have, should return it to their retailer for a check would be my advice. However, I’m advised that a couple of early pre-production examples were heavier and if one of these is out there for whatever reason this could account for the comments earlier. Either way, just return it and arrange to evaluate another, just to be 100% sure.
Obviously, I can’t comment on the SQ of the Revolver, paying due respect to the moderation rules…
Best festive regards,
Peter
