Courtney Marie Andrews, Honest Life. I enjoy all her albums, but this one from 2016 might just be the best, both lyrics and voice. Don’t expect anything too upbeat though!

With female artists dominating in terms of quality during the 2020s, perhaps we should start another thread: ‘The Men are doing It for themselves.’
Anyway, here’s a current favorite. The band has a great backstory—Mum and Dad formed the band Big Blood at the same time their daughter was born. At 13, the daughter was recruited as a full-time member. The daughter is on lead vocals.
I forgot to mention Cara Dillon. ‘Wanderer’ is my favourite album, but her latest, ‘Coming Home’, is full of beautiful words and music. She’s touring in the U.K. this autumn - highly recommended.
