And it’s a pinch and a punch for the first of the month. You guys must be happy spring has broken out.
Yep, seems to have arrived earlier than normal.
The garden is full of early flowers, buds on the fruit trees and I’ve already made the first grass cut.
I’ve still got about a dozen fence panels to coat, hopefully before the roses and other plants that cover them come into bloom.
It’s pleasant.
Autumn is usually the best season where I live. Weathers still warm but not too hot at night, waters warm great for a swim and best of all everyone’s back at work/school so it’s easier (and cheaper) to travel locally that is.
We’ve had a wet and mild summer but after last summer it’s been a bit of a relief.
We normally spend much of our summer in BC and a good bit of winter also.
Spring and autumn are usually in the U.K., so we’d normally just be settling back in here and enjoying the warmth of spring after the snows of the Rockies.
I loved visiting BC but I’m not sure I could last a winter. We were there late autumn and apparently it was unseasonably warm. Beautiful place great people.
Interesting, it must be c0ck on its own not in another word like cockles.
Your post has entered you into the game of Mornington Crescent that was going a couple of weeks ago: Hatton Cross.
You can’t use d i c k either, which as others have pointed out is short for Richard.
However you can use Dickens.
I’ve just earned my regular badge for the 2nd time not sure what happened to the first but it disappeared. I’ve checked what’s the big deal and learnt there’s a members lounge, does anyone know where that is and can you gets drinks.
I gather you have to keep doing whatever it is that earns you the badge often enough to not lose it. I never found the members lounge either!
Best
David
Tthe members’ lounge must be good because everyone who has found it has been very quiet and not let on where it is. Maybe Richard hangs out there and likes peace and quiet!
Damn I was hoping there’d be drinks and nibbles.
Congratulations.
It probably won’t last long.
If anybody gets that off me they will know about it.
Good evening. Frosty start here.
I think there are, but it’s all self-service. You’ll find some in your cupboards somewhere.
Today is a bit of a special day for me.
I’ve been working, working, working, working - go on holiday with family - working, working working, working, working working, go on holiday with family, working, working, working for many years and especially the last year (it is exactly a year ago that my employer put me on work-from-home) was very intensive. Everything was good, but I felt that I lost myself somewhere. I’ve a creative mind and I do realise that pressure can be an effective condition, a ‘void’ is another effective condition too.
Therefore I’ve taken off the entire month.
I’ve bought another Hicap so that all my systems are balanced now.
I’m going to do a lot in our home, doubtless I’ll share the bits on this topic. Replacing the oven, painting rooms, ah - yes - doing admin stuff (I wont share the details ), doing some IT courses and possible write some music again.
There are many folks - including me - complaining about the ‘SWMBO’ and purchases for personal benefit - like the HIFI. We figured out after 15 years of marriage that we can quickly take decisions and agree on purchasing thing as long as the purchase is for common use. Put your money where we use it so to say.
I was expecting a very difficult discussion to have a video projector in the living room, but after I pointed out that the kids turn into teenagers and that we find ourselves more and more watching good movies together, she agreed withing seconds to have a projector & screen in the living room.
Anyhow. This is one of the last things we are going to do.
Enjoy yourself, keep us up to date.
