I think it’s really disappointing that Naim aren’t communicating with their customers on whether there will be a 272 replacement. It doesn’t really align with having a long term customer relationship.

Claire was quite clear that they aren’t looking to upgrade the Unitis, but when it comes to the 272 it’s radio silence. Not very consistent.

There’s been a few who have jumped ship and gone to another manufacturer. I understand there are issues with component suppliers but confirming a replacement would give others reasons to wait. I really think it’s poor business practices and seems as if we’ve been taken for granted.

Maybe you could try the Aurelic streamer/pre. It would work with all your other gear. The one I heard was really good.

I’ve mentioned many times all their major competitors have a streaming pre amp. Naim seem as though there falling behind. Their pre amps haven’t really been updated for 20 years.

Problem with that is I stream to a Uniti and a Muso. If I went to another manufacturer I’d lose that option.

I know, but buggered if I know what they could do improve the preamps - anyway if they could my ageing cloth ears couldn’t pickup any SQ improvements :weary:

Definitely not going down the Roon path.

Think she’s already had hundreds of people ask me asking isn’t going to make any difference, they either don’t know themselves or they simply can’t be bothered.

Yes bit worried about communication with Naim HQ currently

I sent off a request on couple of occasions over the last couple of months or so, about whether they still have stock of the old chrome bumper facias as Harry is going to replace for me

Have had no response whatsoever so I just purchased them from a kind gent elsewhere, can’t hold off forever

Just getting a reply would have been nice

Communication seems to be an issue, I beginning to think they’re owned by Telstra

Ha ha - if I have to deal with Telstra I walk down to their shop here in Balmain, they are very helpful, but having to deal with anything over the phone is a nightmare

Telstra our biggest communication company that can’t communicate with their customers. I waited on their help line a few months ago for 15 minutes only to get a recorded message telling me they’re busy and to call back. Appalling customer service.

Got through to one person who I was initially told by another ( after holding on for 15 minutes) she was the right person to assist, finally got through to her after 20 minutes, she said she wasn’t the right person so she transferred me to the right person and again I hung on for another 15 minutes, and Lo and behold he was the right person - about 50 minutes all up ha ha :rage:

My accountant won’t let me speak to them any more, I flew off at them once for wrongly targeting my business. No apology no nothing, the other way around I’d be in jail.

My dealer has a 525 and S/C that I think I might demo. I’ll just use the streamer part of the of 272 for a while
