Welcome to the UK @Pete_the_painter . Hope you have a memorable time .
Cheers. Always do I love London.
Iām traveling tomorrow morning, leaving home at 6:15. Iāve plenty of time in the schedule and bring a good book to relax a bit on my way. Tomorrow evening at 17:30 Iāll try to be in the cathedral for the service to smell a bit of the great British music tradition.
I should be in Salisbury on Friday morning around 9am. Looking forward to catching up with everyone.
Envious. Not.
Mike the flight over just about did me in. Second leg wasnāt so bad much more room in the between seats. Just been in the phone trying to upgrade coming home.
Maybe if you ever come again you could visit the often neglected north east. Cities such as Newcastle and Durham, beautiful castle strewn coastline and of course your speakers are from up here.
I would love to, Iām trying to convince Mrs Pete to fly over and join me. Iāve always wanted to go to Liverpool, as a huge Beatle fan it seems the obvious thing to do.
Vicarious pleasure all over the forum, including at Bhoyo Towers. I do hope thereāll be pictures, @Pete_the_painter
If Pete takes the pictures, youāll probably see a young bright and shining young fellow on it - and thatās me. Still considering to pack my orange tie for sake of clarity.
You will have a great timeā¦.enjoy.
Lovely

I can see you are up and about early Pete. Enjoy the cricket todayā¦ I rather suspect you might! I can see the weather is going to improve, and can only hope Englandās fortunes improve too. You never know! I did intend to drop into the pub yesterday but there was too much going on at work. All the best for the rest of your trip.
Youād probably be glad you didnāt make it, we drank way too much and I didnāt get home till after 1am. Think any celebration today will be very muted.
Iām looking out my window and it doesnāt look to promising but Iām hoping you are right and it clears up soon. Cheers.
Did you manage to get upgrade for flight home ?
Thatās the spirit young man
No they want $6k just for the one leg. Iām going to buy extra space (whatever that means) which is only about $200.
Bloody hell - maybe extra space means at front of galley where people board , never heard of it
