The Grand Cafe

I expect it’s not quite that simple. Really, the buck stops with Naim at the end of the day. Their product, their band, their bad decisions. They should own it.

As I’ve said/speculated before Pete, I reckon George/Busisoft have them by the curlies….it seems the only explanation with all this time is elapsing between the effective change in distributors……

It takes two to fall out, so there has to be more to all this than Vervent simply kicking off Busisoft….As has been confirmed, there’s obviously a legal rangle at play and with no end it sight it seems……

I’m enjoying sitting back in thick recliner watching Apple TV in our son’s media room. Never like this in my day, such luxury.

It’s difficult for the new guys with those Fkws previous distributor hanging around selling off discounted gear

The parent company should do the right thing and buy back this gear and p**s them off completely

Bad situation for the new guys how do you launch a product range with that going on

On that I fully agree….It’s bad all round really……and whilst there’s some decent deals to be had (which I’ve benefited from) I suspect it’s not good for the Naim fans or customer base in the long run………Basically, it should all never have come about.

Doesn’t really make any difference to me I think I’ve reached the end of my journey (god I hate that word). Unless I win the $150m powerball tomorrow I’ll be staying put.

I’m kind of with you Pete - and supposedly another price rise in a few days

Bugger that

But maybe pick and choose

Is gonna be real interesting what prices we get here when Westan are actual operational, especially post this sudden new price rise, blamed on shipping ….If the rumoured 13% gets passed on, plus all the usual extras for ‘international’, it’s going to be out the park more than ever……

It will actually pay to fly back….

Yes, I’m the same here Pete. Well, it has an impact when we need to move it on, with resales values going down. But that’s a long way away for me and the lifetime cost is fine anyway. And I’m expecting servicing will be available locally, one way or the other.

I figure any upgrade for me now will just sound different, won’t know if it’s better or not just a hell of a lot more expensive.

I’ve got bigger fish to fry.

You have indeed Pete over the next 12 months or so

@Mike_S

I’ve got 16 Naim boxes and 2 LP12’s spread over 2 places, so as time moves on will do something about that

Anything I do will be a compromise , I have a plan which keeps changing ha :crazy_face:

1.25 m of cable, that’s almost the price of most of our appliances in our new kitchen.

And twice the price of the V1 RRP…!

What’s the cable you need for that Pete?

Analog out from my DAC V1 to my 252, the V1 has a 4 pin the 252 a 5.

Needless to say I bought the bog standard lavender kind for $300.
